Cycle Accident Claims

Most of the work that we do here involves claims for injured pedal cyclists, as a result of a bike accident. We have been specialising in cycle accident claims since 1998. In that time we have successfully represented thousands of injured cyclists, sometimes more than once!

We have extensive experience in representing cyclists involved in different types of bike accident scenarios including:-

  • Cycle accidents on roundabouts, crossroads, side road junctions and unmarked country roads
  • A collision with a car door which has been opened into the rider’s path
  • Failed overtaking manoeuvres, because the overtaking vehicle has failed to leave enough room whilst overtaking, or because the vehicle has pulled in before they have completed the overtake, causing the rider to swerve and to crash
  • Uncontrolled or badly controlled dogs, which have been allowed to run into the path of, or attack cyclists, causing a bike accident
  • Cycle accident  involving poorly controlled horses on the public road
  • Poorly organised cycle racing events, where the organisers have failed to ensure the reasonable safety of the riders, leading to a bike accident
  • Injuries caused by broken or faulty bike frame or components.  These are known as product liability claims
Alyson France - Cycle Accident

Over the years we have acted for members of various cycle clubs and also owners of and employees in cycle shops around the Country.  They too have had the misfortune of being involved in cycle accidents. As a keen recreational cyclist, our solicitor understands all too well, the day to day issues affecting cyclists when venturing out on to the public roads.
